My Dad just left after visiting me for a few days. Cut him a cashiers check for $8K. My A/C unit was 23 years old and he insisted that he pay for half of it because they are living in the house. Can't argue with dad I guess. It helps him still feel like the head of the household but $16K for a new unit... that's ridiculous. I am not an A/C person but apparently units that use natural gas for heat are much more costly but they said it's a high 90's% unit for efficiency.

HULU blows donkey roots. Had it on my PS3 but now they wont support it. My TV can't download apps for some reason. My Samsung 4K DVD player no longer supports HULU. The only thing left is my PC. Damn that. To top it off they are raising their rate from $69.99 to $79.99 a year on 10/10/22. Eat my anus.

I was at a four way stop yesterday and I let the person on my left go first because I'm so nice. Are you going to believe that the car in back of him also went. Do people not know how a four way stop sign works anymore? I think the person was so stupid that they thought the stop sign turned green and they went.

Even when I lived down there for around oh 20 some months back in '99-'01 in Sarasota. We had one Tropical Storm which was right on the edge for a hurricane. Working as the parts/service manager at the marina we had to stay and tie all the boats down. By the time I left I was basically driving down 41 sideways from all the rain/wind. Never lost power, tv or anything. To me it didn't bother me one bit. The apartment complex I was in was well built, the outer-walls were double cinder-blocked and back-filled with concrete. Even though I was from Illinois I didn't freak out even it would have been a hurricane. I had food, water, tv so nothing to worry about. Even if the power went out hell I lived on a river in Illinois that used to flood all the time so evacuating to me was normal as in '85 we had 4.5 feet of water in our house until we raised it that summer to 10.5 feet off the ground.

Always cracks me up when people freak out and buy up everything when a storm comes through. They do the same thing up here every time we are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow.
