The judge doesn’t make that decision, the law does. This is how the legal system works. Law 101. And it was not a question of ownership, it was a question of carrying in public at his age.
They clearly said it was an error in the law that allows a 17 y.o. to carry a rifle b/c it is not a sawed-off or a bull pup.
No one knew this error, else the charge would not even have been brought to court. Don’t act as if you knew it all along. If you did, you certainly would have said it when the text of the law was posted here.

The businesses weren’t open. They were boarded up because there was a riot. They showed an entire video of the kid running from these guys from start to finish. Where the hell are you getting your information from?

1. Why didn't he call the Police if he felt like he was in danger?
2. Why didn't he call 911 after he shot the first guy in the back?
3. Why didn't he render first aid to the shooting victim since he was there as a certified EMT (which he wasn't).
4. Why did he call his friend to brag about shooting and killing a guy?
5. How did he have time to call his friend if he was being attacked?
6. Why didn't he stay at the scene of the first shooting until the Police showed up if it was self defense?
7. Why was he the only person who shot anybody that night if the rally was so violent?

You can't claim self defense in a situation that you created yourself. That's what he did.

His attorneys found some bittch *** loophole about barrel length. The statute will soon be changed. Nobody knew about the loophole or the DA wouldn't even have charged him with the gun to begin with. The judge didn't even know about this loophole that was in a completely different area in the gun statutes.
