What annoys the ***** outta you/pisses you off...

eh just make sure they're found not guilty if it's some bullshit victim-less crime
Trust me, I won't get selected. I don't know why people say they are "Not Guilty" just so it can go to trial... you still have to sit in jail, ya didn't get arrested for nothing. Idiots. If you broke the law that's it... go to jail... I don't care if someone violates their "rights". I think if you commit a criminal act, you are fair game.

Except you're wrong, there's a ton of people who are wrongly in jail. There's a big difference between a broken law and a real morally wrong crime. If someone is in jail for smoking weed I'd probably do my best to find them not guilty - it's a stupid crime and who's the victim?

It's good that you won't be on a jury with that attitude. One of these days something as stupid as another persons lie because they want vengeance will teach you the hard way.

On top of all that the stupid shit I mentioned ends up costing taxpayers assloads of money due to lawsuits and wrongful convictions. People don't just spend time in jail, get found not guilty, and then go on with their lives as if the state didn't take away a part of their life.

I am not wrong. I am talking about people who break the law. If it is making it to trial then there has been sufficient evidence against that person to warrant a trial. If a person gets arrested for smoking weed and it is illegal to be in possession of said drug then I will convict all day, every day, and twice on Sunday. If you break the law, no matter how small it is, you have broken the law and should pay for the crime. The problem is that people think there is a difference... as you said... "There's a big difference between a broken law and a real morally wrong crime"... "If someone is in jail for smoking weed I'd probably do my best to find them not guilty - it's a stupid crime and who's the victim?" There doesn't have to be a victim to have a crime. Furthermore, it is not up to me, you or anyone else what laws we are allowed to break. Just because you are ok with weed doesn't mean you should do your best to find them not guilty. If it is illegal for them to smoke it and you try your best to get them off then YOU are acting immorally. If it is legal in their area then more power to them. I am not against weed, if it is legal, I am against breaking the law, period.

I think we are way to soft on criminals and this has led to people thinking it is ok to break the law because they only get slapped on the wrist if they get caught. It's that lack of consequences that has produced people of low moral fiber and thuggish attitudes. To address your statement on me being taught a lesson... Been there, done that. I stand fast, break the law, no matter how "small" the crime, go to jail. I actually should be on the Jury with my point of view... maybe, just maybe it will teach the criminal a lesson. You have your point of view as do I. I will leave it there.

It's a good thing you won't be chosen to be on the jury. You're a sheep, that's all I really have to say about the way you think. As I said before, when you're in a situation where sheep like yourself make the decision, you'll understand. I know way too many people who have been charged with crimes over literal nonsense, and way too many females who do much worse and don't get charged simply because they're female. You'd probably allow that kind of bias.

You're not paying attention... I don't care if its a woman, man, black, white, yellow, brown, purple... break the law, pay for the crime. That is not being a sheep. Being a sheep is following all of the people who think it is ok to break a law, any law. If we are stronger against criminals then maybe there will be less crime and I won't have to be inconvenienced to go to Jury selection, loose wages from work, loose sleep all because some dipshit said... screw it, nobody's gonna get hurt by it. That CRIMINAL is stealing from ME... stealing my time and my wages.

Okay, so a new law is in place. You're required to do some stupid shit you don't believe in, at all, because of that you don't do it. You're charged with a crime and a jury has the option to find you not guilty because you have a valid logical point, or they can find you guilty because of the stupid law that does nothing to help society is in place.

You'd be fine with spending time in prison?

Example: I don't like what you just said because I don't agree with it. I have influence so I make it illegal for you to say that. I get you charged with a crime even though nothing you said truly matters.

Well if it is a law, I am going to do everything I can to obey it. Period. However, that is not what you ask... If I decided to disobey that law then I would go to Jail and accept my punishment. As stupid as this sounds and I can agree with that, laws must be followed. I would be upset if the Jury ignored the law and let me go.... would I rather be free, sure. But if the laws are ignored what is the next law to be broken?

Since we are in the hypothetical... say you have a child... a daughter. Someone breaks in and attempts to violate her sexually. He is caught before he rapes her.... the Jury lets him off because he didn't actually commit ****. Would you be ok with that? Not me brother.

LOL I have no words

You'd be well suited for the radical government ideologies that give you no rights.

Yes all laws should be followed even the ones that make absolutely no sence or are designed to suppress your fellow man. Come on! Putting drug addicts or people with mental health issues in jail with real criminals who **** murder etc. B.s. in my mind. I hope you don't send someone to jail because they have a non crimal issue.

It's still a crime to smoke a joint in a lot of states but I can get drunk as f and act dumb as f@#k but i cant sit down in front of the tv and burn 1 wtf? That maybe a law that i broke once. Damn it i didn't mean to i swear. Can't do it anymore because of work but I can still get drunk on the weekends but if I smoke on the weekends and get tested I'm done even though I'm still not high. Makes a lot of sense.

This country isn't as great as they tell you nor are you as free as they claim.I wouldn't live anywhere else but there's a lot of b.s going on and has been for a long time.

Screw it I'm about to jay walk.

I don't agree with all the laws we have but we are given the chance to speak on these laws and vote on them. If you do nothing to prevent a law from becoming a law then you have no argument about that law. Break it, deal with the consequences. I have no desire to live in an anarchist society. Laws help keep this from happening by having consequences and by making people accountable. It's funny to me that you think me a radical because I don't think people should break laws. Because I have morals. Because I am ethical. Because I think if you steal a car you broke the law, if you stole a pack of gum you broke the law.... break those two things down, what did someone do? They stole. Stealing is against the law. I don't give two shits that one is a grand theft felony and the other is petty theft... both are violations of the law and it is up to those elected officials to judge at that point and decide their punishment. HOWEVER, I think we should be harder on criminals from the get go. I think we should still be allowed to spank our smart mouth kids. I think this is a sad time in America which is why I do my own things and mind my own business for the most part. So yes, it pisses me off when the actions of another person now interferes with my life causing me to interact with the very criminals I try to avoid. Selfish, lawless pieces of trash who care nothing of the world around them or the people on it and think they can do whatever they want with no backlash or consequences.

@fithwheel It's Jury selection for a criminal trial.
