Hi,

I am looking for a 4-ch amplifier which should cost no more than 150$. It should push 4 speakers (100W RMS each, all 4 ohms of resistance) and not a sub-woofer. I am not planning to hear music at higher volumes almost at all.

What amplifier would you recommend me?

well if ur not looking to listen to high volumes then y do u need a 100 watts a channel. ur not going to find a good amp that does 100x4 into 4 ohms for under 150. maybe like 60x4 or 75x4. which both of those would still be pretty loud imo

if you're not going to be listening at loud levels, you really don't need a 100w RMS per channel amp. (it would be hard to find an amp that will do that with just $150 anyway).

You can give your comps 50w RMS and it'll still sound loud.

if u are tryin to get that loud just use the amp in the head unit. And i doubt that u can find a good 4 channel amp for that price. The only 2 that come to mind is an profile and us acoustics.

off topic: isnt your quote in your sig actually Tupac's from the "Me Against the World" album?

I didn't mean I will buy a 4X100W RMS amplifier. Off Course a "weaker" amplifier will be enough for me. To better help me, I can write you about my "candidates" and maybe this can help you help me:

1) Crunch PowerZone P4.175 (or the equivalent BlackMaxx model)

2) PowerAcoustik Power or Gothic 85WX4 model

3) Lightning Audio Bolt 300.4 or 400.4

4) Kicker KX 300.4

5) Rockford Fosgate Punch 301X

6) Sony Xplod 460GX

7) Alpine MRP-F240

I thought of taking the Rockford Fosgate Punch 301X which I think will be enough for me (although only 4X40W, but to be honest I am not sure any other of these is "stronger"-I know the values Rockford Fosgate write are "real" and not faked), but the lack of choosing frequency at the crossover seems like a real disadvantage. What do you think? Which one of these is the most recommended?

Thanks.

Aren't the Kicker, Rockford Fosgate and Alpine models I mentioned too weak compared to the models of the other brands? Is there a good reason to choose any of these three although the PowerAcoustik and Crunch deliver more power (according to their specs off course)? What would you buy from the models I mentioned if you were me?
