hey guys im looking for some options on a good SQamp what do yall recommend for powering 1 set of hybrid clarus c61 i already have a jl audio 300/4v2 to power up my imagines i was thinking on putting atleas 125-150 watts on each clarus lmk what yall think guys and all i want is a 2 channel since thats all i need or should i sell the 300/4 and get a JL HD 600/4 to power up both sets of imagines and a set of clarus

Multi-Channel Amplifiers ...underrated just a tad..but just about the best bang for the buck out there in the SQ world.

If you have the room, and want to keep it JL, then I would recommend getting another 2ch amp from JL,to have a bit more control,and a dedicated supply for the speakers in general.Jl make some great amps good quality,but if you want to compete, Id suggest looking into some of the best you can afford.I here alot about SinFoni,and Gladen Audio,and believe it or not, some of the best SQ amps of all time were the Alpine Duo-B 3500 series,such as 3522,3523,2535,3541,3550,ect,that I have always heard about, and that can be bought cheaply on ebay, and do deliver good raw power, even at 30x2 they are impressive.Yet, You have an amp in working condition,and dedicated to doing what it needs,and is in place,i myself would add another amplifier instead of taking out and redoing,just an addition would be my doing.

good info man ill let some more peeps chime in and see what they say but im leaning towards another 2 channle amp even tho i would waiste the same amount of money going each route since iknow i can get 300bucks out of my 300/4 and just add another 300 or so and get a 600/4 hd or either keep the 300/4 and with that 300 bucks or so i can get another 2 channel hmmmm decisions decisions lol

Also take into consideration that most 2-4 ch amplifiers will deliver more rms power than a 6ch amplifier, and you will have more control over the speakers you are putting them on as well,.Just something also to consider,and by running two amps, you will also take the stress off of the 6ch as well,.Have you considered running @2ohms on ch 1,and 2 even?Another option to consider as well,rather than dropping another $300 bucks on an amp, when your amplifier is capable of running @4/2/1ohms stereo?

thaqts what my buddy told me just get another amp so all the stress wont go to one amp and then itll be heating up n stuff since its going in the back of the seat on a 2012 gmc sierra denali and theres almost no air going threw there

Cooling fans are cheap, and this one will run quietly and really moves some air..105,another option as well
