What Amp?

Hey guys i have a old style Fi BTL 18'' going into my car. Box is 6.5 cubes tuned to probably 38hz for comps and 34 for daily. Stock eletrical for now (wont play what ever i get loud) Wondering what amp i should buy for it?? would like to stay under $400 so i was thinking.

Ma Audio HK4000 $-335 shipped(used to own one of these i know what they are)

New AQ 2200d- $389 used to own one of thes but could only run it to 2 ohms to a single 15

Audiopipe 3000- $397 never owned one but seems to put out some power...

Basically will be competing locally nothing to major around here...would like to be in the 148s atleast...even though i know there a whole lot of things that id have to factor in id just like to know i have enough power...

AQ...MA is over rated unless you are going to be running a 16v system...

good luck running 148's with stock electrical.....possibly you need to upgrade electrical first....

That MA is a current hog, do not even mess with it if you do not have the proper electrical. The AQ is nice, but I would take the AP. The AP will do rated and a little more.

Stay away from MA...IMO

I like US amps. You might be able to find some nice sundowns if you stay around a bit.

as said i wont be playing amp hard....i do plan to upgrade...when i do upgrade i want to have enough power to do atleast 148s

The audiopipes put out rated power. I can get them for $300 man. Cheapest power to $ ratio.

for 300 you cant do better than the audiopipe 3000 thats just sick i have seen some benches on a dif post here they are mad amps.

if that falls thru a 2608 brutus or even better a gp3000d (18 volt rated to about 4500+ rms @1 ohm)

ive looked for the GP cant find them used but for $450 still good deal...where is everyone finding them for $300 cheapest i can find is $397 in stock
