What Amp?

A friend of mine just got a 15" Kicker CVX and he's not sure what amp to run it. The specs are RMS power handling 1000 and the peak handling is 2000. What amp would you guys suggest? He said price isn't a problem so please list some good quality amps. I told him either a kicker 1500.1 or a sundown saz-1500d. Would these be too much for it? should i go 1000.1 or a 1000d? from what you listed, i would go with the sundown 1500d but just keep the gains low.
