what amp?

i dont know much about car audio but i have a fosgate p2 12" sub. i need to buy an amp but i dont know what to get. its an 8ohm sub and 250w rms. could someone give me some links or some names of amps that will be the best with that sub. Thanks

it will be hard to get decent power out of a amp at 8 ohm. is it a dvc by chance?

need another sub,then parallel the 2 subs to get a 4 ohm load.there arent alot of amps that bridge 8 ohms ang get alot of power.

as for brand names,all depends if you want 500 watts or 5000.

He just needs an amp that makes about ~500w @ 4 ohms.

whats your budget, any amp can run 8ohms, youll just need to estimate how many watts your getting by what the amp puts out at 4ohm, i would suggest running a monoblock so if you ever decide to upgrade your subs you have room to do that, rather than going with a bridged 2chann, but either way will work...

i just have a regular cab F-150 so i dont need a whole lot of bass. but i really dont know anything about amps or the technical stuff so and advice is helpfull. thanks
