What Amp?

One 10" Alpine Type X sub in a 2004-2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2WD shortbed. Thinking maybe a year or 2 in advance, when I sell my 99 Ram & upgrade the subs from 2 type Es that will be pushing about 400 RMS to 1 type X.

On Alpine they say the Type X can take 1000W RMS & 3000W Peak. How many watts RMS would u feed to 1 type X? And what amp would u recommend for a type X sub? Any Alpine amps or any others? I'd prolly be willing to shell out upto $300 for an amp. I can get this sub for $230.

some people give them up to 1500rms

I was just wondering what yall would give it, and if u'd give it more than 1000 RMS or not?
