what amp to use

hey guys i got a kicker L7 12 inch dual 2 ohm and a kicker zx1000 and do u ithink i should use the zx1000 at 4 ohms which would only be about 500 watts rms or try and sell it and lose a bit of money but its factory renewed but its like new conidition and hasnt been used yet or order a Hifonics BXi-1206D for like 250-260 off ebay cuz that amp should put out around 900-1000 watts rms? howmuch diff would there be between 500-1000 watts? lol
