What amp to power 2 jl 10w6v2's?

I would like it to push 400-500 watts for each sub. I'm not sure about the ohms.

The JL W6V2's are D4 subs. I believe if i run a mono amp it would have to push them at 4 ohms but if i run a 2 channel amp i could run it at 2 ohms. Is this correct? I just want to give it 500 to each. Should i just go with a JL 1000/1? Those are expensive...Anything cheaper? Anyone??

No, you want 1x1000 @ 1 ohm. There are tons of options out there, and a hell of a lot cheaper than JL.

HF bxi1210d is an affordable option. 1000w won't be a problem. 1100-1200 if your electrical system is strong.
