What amp to get?

boxes are fully to your opinion.. So apparently im a ******* just for what i think...bandpasses are loud yes.. but to my opinion, the sound quality is poor.. and just too large of a box for what you get out of them.

Also ohm are the impedience at which yours subs can play. so i would go with dual 4 ohm subs. just so you can get a amp that runs at 1 ohm. You'll have better chances finding an amp that way.
not if the box is properly designed for both the subs and the vehicle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

although sometimes thats tricky and requires multiple builds....

Ok, I decided to order this PAIR RE AUDIO SEX15D4 *** 15" D4 1200w CAR SUBWOOFERS: eBay Motors (item 390233631893 end time Oct-31-10 12:26:37 PDT) - Now I need to find the best amp for them.

Dealercostcaraudio is a scam site. Sonix is legit though, I've ordered from them with no problems numerous times. If you are looking for a budget headunit, look into JVC. JVC>Sony.

And subdicted doesn't know what he's talking about, bandpass boxes are the shi t. They get loud and sound really good.
Any validation for this claim? They seem pretty "legit" to me.

Have fun fitting 2 15's under a truck bench. You wont find an amp for $125 to run those or an amp kit or a HU/LOC either.

The whole back seat lets up, and it is in 2 parts, there is a smaller part where one person can sit that will remain down, the other seat will be up, and under where the seat was, there's a metal platform that lets out, and it's really stable. Also, my budget is about $700-$800 now. I measured, and it's a perfect fit for a double box, it's 38in. long and 20in. wide

What I have so far-

Subs- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAIR-...fAudioQ5fVideo

HU- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...DX-GT340-.html

Speakers- http://www.amazon.com/Quart-Component-Speakers-Amazing-Tweeters/dp/B003OAFB6G/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1287261913&sr=8-7 (Only getting 2 because only one person will be able to sit in the back with the subs in there)

$538 so far.

I went through MANY systems and if I could suggest one thing it would be:

Get biggest single sub you can fit with biggest amp you can run.

If you get those two 15's and you aren't happy (which I wouldnt be if I was you) you will try to sell ur stuff and buy something different. In a long run you will spend more money.

I say get fully loaded 15 Fi BTL (I think its like under 500$ shipped) and get a used 2500-3000W monoblock something like this ( http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-audio-classifieds/491426-fs-trade-crunch-gp3000d.html ) it will cost you 350-500$ depending on the brand name.

You will NEVER EVER need to touch or upgrade your sub or amps and I guarantee you will be happy with it (assuming you get it put in the right enclosure)

This will cost you alot in the beginning but trust you will save $ in a long run.

This is my 2 cents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hmm..that does sound pretty good, I looked at some of the videos on youtube of the Fi TBL 15's and they are impressive. I looked into ordering one of them, but the Fi website doesnt work, so I will post a thread for one.

If I were to hook up an Fi BTL 15" 2ohm, what amp would I need, even If I wanted to replace the stock front/rear 6.5's later on, or would I just need to use another amp for that?

audiopipe makes a nice 1500 watt mono amp for like 160 to your house u cant beat that price or less u buy used. if u do 2 15s your gona drown out your front and rear stage lol. its ok u can just change out the speakers if u want. if your set on those 15s what kinda box u gona build?

just because 15's are well, 15 inches doesn't mean they will be super loud versus a very well built 12 with the proper box and clean power. Id run two solid tens over two 15's if cabin area is an issue because they wont be able to have a box built to ported specs. I'd get one beast 15 build a box tuned low. Also trust me you will want to get all four speakers replaced because eventual those stock speakers will go bad and all you will hear is crackling. just my .02. Planet audio also makes very good budget amps along with(flame at will) hifonics
