What amp should I push 2 Sundown SD 10" woofers with (on a small budget)

will the JL run those woofers, I just pulled the trigger on 2 sd 10" from wooferetc , i think rms is 500, whats the max on these speakers? I was thinking I would need 1500 to push these speakers?

Your amp will work just fine unless you want to spend more money on an amp that could be used else where in your build. Yeah, they could handle more power but, why not upgrade later on if you think you need to. Besides the enclosure has a major factor on how loud it'll be. A great built box on lower power sounds better than a high power system with a poor built box. You'll need 2 10" d4's for your amp. Roughly 3.5 cubes net on box.

Thanks for your advise, I think I will take your advise and hold off on buying a amp, see how the jl sounds

Correction the box will be roughly 2.5 cubes net not 3.5 cubes net. Anytime!

if you have the slash or the jx amp i would go for d2s since neither of those amps run at 1ohm and and if you run at 4ohm, with box rise you wont get optimum power either...best bet get d2s and run em at 2ohm
