What amp should I get?

I am getting these 2 12s:

Rockford Fosgate P3-2X12

Here are the specs:

Subwoofer Size 12"

Voice Coil(s) Dual

Impedance (Per Voice Coil) 4 ohms

RMS Power Handling 600 watts

Total RMS Power Handling 1200 watts

Peak Power Handling 1200 watts

Total Peak Power Handling 2400 watts

Woofer Composition Anodized Aluminum

Woofer Surround Santoprene Rubber

Sensitivity 85 dB

Frequency Response 27.7 - 250 Hz

Xmax (millimeters) 16.2 mm

I'm pretty sure they are the 4ohms, and it says 2400W Max. 600W RMS.

I was just wondering what would be a good amp to get for these. Please help.

I was thinking the Rockford Fosgate 1500bd, but idk.

I wouldn't go with the P3's.... fosgates line is pretty shitty until you get up into the T lines... and even then they're WAY over priced.... do some looking around on here... you can get MUCH better for the price

I actually owned the 10" version of the P3 series of rockford, and I won't say I was displeased. They really do hit hard, but they need power, and they sound like crap, they are just loud. I think the material they made them out of is just too stiff. But it depends what you are listening to, do you want SQ or SPL??

If you haven't already bought them I would go with something else like previous posts, otherwise yes you will need at a minimum of 600 watts RMS to push them both. decent. Keep in mind these are DVC so you are looking at 4ohms per coil and have 4 voice coils(parallel on both speakers will bring you to 2ohms per speaker or 1 ohm total load). You need a 1 ohm stable monoblock, or a powerful 2 ohm stable 2 channel amp. There are so many amps out there that will meet your needs its not even funny, it's just how much you want to spend and how much power you want. Only look at RMS, and don't try to give those RF-P3s 2400watts you will break them. I personally like PPI, Memphis, Sundown, Soundstream, and old Rockford.

To answer your question about the RF T1500-1bd, the power looks underrated by reviews, and it seems to be nice, and it is in the T-line. It doesn't look like a Class D, it says Class bD and idk wtf that means. If you get that amp be careful not to use its full RMS power you will probably blow the P3s.

Ok I've decided not to get the Rockford Fosgate Subs, I've decided to get these:

Orion HCCA 12.2

Sensitivity: 84 dB

RMS Power Range : 2000 Watts

Peak Power Handling: 4000 Watts

Impedance: 2 Ohm

Diameter: 12 Inch

Shallow Mount: No

Number of Voice Coils: Dual

Can you give me the best amp to get to go with 2 of these 12s? Also how should I wire them? Do I need more than 1 amp?

is $1000 to much or not enough ? lol and ok dual4s hit just as hard and sound just as good? and what about the capacitor? lol sorry im just now getting into this stuff and need a little help, but thank you

Ur over your head and need to sit down and read and think about this some more. U go from RF P3's to HCCA's then from 1200watts to now needing 4k plus. No caps you will need extra batts and possibly a HO alt. U need to set a budget and a goal and be realistic about it. That’s where I would start.

Ik but the HCCAs hit pretty hard

1000 is PLENTY. you can pick up 5kw amps for 600-800 in like new condition.... now it just comes down to personal preference. AQ, sundown, DC, AB, Crescendo( which has my vote... **** solid amp for the price).... all preference bro

the HCCA's hit very hard, if properly enclosed.... but when stepping up past 2k, you'll have some pretty substantial upgrades needed to your electrical, so take that into account as well
