what amp should I get to power my system

So I got two 12" kicker 07cvr124 In a bad *** ported box. They are 4 ohms and are rated at 400 watt rms a piece. Together it'd be 800 watt rms and 1600 watt peak power. I'm just trying to get some opinions on what kind of amp I should get meaning like how many channels and wattage. I was thinking a 1000 watt mono block 1 channel amp but I'd love to hear what everyone has to say.

As you said yourself, you have a bad box and that is very important for the performance of your subs, You should change that first and I believe a decent 1000rms monoblock will do, there's always a few selling here.
