I am getting some sub-woofers for my truck and i am at a 500 dollar limit so i am trying to keep it as low cost as possible.

I am getting:

a F-150 extended cab enclosure with 12" cut outs

2 Kicker 10C124 Comp 12-Inch Subwoofer 4 SVC

But I am not sure what amp would fit it best without being too pricey. Also if you could point me to some good 12 ga wire set, that would be nice.

Thank you.

I know you guys hate these questions

What about this?

2 Pioneer TS-W303R 12" 4-Ohm Subwoofer

Pioneer GM-D8500M Class-D Mono Amplifier with 1200 Watts Max. Power

Boss KIT-2 Complete 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

F150 casing 12in cut outs

Total: $400

do you think i could get something better for 400 dollars?

subs have to have a mounting depth of 5-7/8 or it wont fit the casing

Instead of going with 2 crappy 12" subs you should get one good sub and 1 good amp . Also on the box a custom box from prorabbit or ram would yeild great results, much better than a crappy prefab box. I think if done right u could still be in your $500 budget.

For subs, look outside of the big well-known brands - look at SSA, RE, Sundown (maybe), etc. If I were you I'd rethink my sub choice - you'll probably be a lot happier in the end.

You CERTAINLY want a different install kit than that. In general avoid the markedly cheap brands like Boss, Pyle, etc. I would go at least 4 gauge and from a reputable brand like knu. I'm at work and can't get to ebay but search "knukonceptz install kit" and you should find the kit I used - that should suffice if you are in a money pinch. Your wiring is extremely important and that is one area you certainly do not want to skimp on.

I kind of agree with orangecavi - are you set on two 12s? If so, why?

edit: I suppose I should also ask the usual - what kinda music do you listen to? Are you looking mainly for SQ or SPL or a balance? tell us what you're looking to get out of teh nu sistem.
