What amp(s) would go well with 2 10' Alpine type r's?

What the hell? i highly doubt this kid will know how to put 2K to 2 10" type-R's.

nope the max that one sub will see is a 1000 watts that is considering there is no impendance rise. Skip01 is running 4 10" on two of the same amps at .5ohm with no problems.

1/0 wire,big 3 upgrade, upgraded battery underhood or second battery, maybe a new alternator depending on what you have now.
Capacitors are a waste of money they do more harm then good.

Look OP,

Don't get a **** audioque. they are over-rated and over-priced power hogs and more money and power than you need.

Look at something similar to those hifonics I showed you.

You are looking for a single amp to push 1200-1800 watts at 1 ohm.

At that level with the single amp you shouldn't need any major upgrades. The Big 3 is allways a good upgrade, even if you have no aftermarket electrical systems in your car, so do that.

Finally if your subs share the same airspace, running 2 amps to power them instead of 1 is stupid for a multitude of reasons.

First it will ruin your subs because the separate amps will never push exactly the same signal causing pressure differences inside the box between the subs, which can easily damage your subs.

Throw that kind of power on a 10" type-r in a spec box and see what happens.

in other word i doubt this guy can avoid blowing his subs out with that kind of power, he's obviously not an SPL pro competitor.
