What amp(s) have you used that suprised you with performance

I have a BOSS 240 watt amp (old as shit) I ran my 2 12" solo-baric L7's at 1/2 ohm and they pounded like 750 watts.
than my zx.1500.1 wired to 1 ohm was pretty sick (**** some jucie)
that boss might have been zed built //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I've bought a few 2nd rate amps that have been used in our boat.

One was a DHD nxt-3102 -- it's on ampguts.

It's a 4 ch we bridged to run a pair of tower speakers. $44 used on ebay and I was really happy with it. It used a pair of 15A fuses and seemed exceptionally powerful vs what I was expecting.

It did eventually start dropping a channel, but as much abuse as it stood up to I was pretty happy.

I had a Pyramid PB600 YEARS ago. I think it was rated at 75x4. It might have done 50x4 or so. It spent about 4 years sliding around the the steel floorboard under the seat of my POS high school truck, and about 4 more in a boat install. It never had any problems. I ended up selling it to a co-worker for $30. It was 10-12 yrs old.

I also had a Lanzar Vibe 430 several years ago I was surprised by. It seemed very powerful for what it was and I ran across a post on sounddomain claiming an owner had one tested at 296x2 bridged.

Old School Orion Cobalt 200.4, the little blue ones..

Its rated 50x4 rms, but im sure it does more!

Been using this in my daily driver for a while without any problems! Love this amp.

Lanzar Heritage 2600d, i have two of them strapped and one is prolly 5years old and i have never had a problem with it, i think they are around 300new and they do around 1400 rms, i love them and they seem to be tanks.

Proton D275 with "Dynamic Power on Demand" from around 1990.

Rated 75w per channel (manual says actual is more like 110w), with an unregulated power supply and large caps inside to allow 300w per channel for a few milliseconds when music crests.

MTX RT2600 was my first amp... rated at 600x1 @ 4ohms. Underrated, clean power... still using it. All the old school MTX amps I've used have been solid. RT2200X, Thunder 282, 684, 275x.

All the Profile AP amps I've used were very impressive for the price.

Power Acoustik 1800db was very solid also. Ran 4 RE8s off it and it got friggin loud for 8s.

I've always liked the Profile amps. I have 3 of them that've been in a dozen different vehicles and still work like champs (2x HA700M and a Cali AP740).

The HA700M's were ran @ 1 ohm for months with no issues...
