I can't find info on it anywhere. I don't think they made a VFL 1000. I could be wrong though. Has anyone here ever seen or owned one?

i have the same thing but mine is a vfl 500. they are os american bass amps. not bad amps but no where near equivelant to todays vfl's. my 500 has a 30 amp fuse in it to give you an idea to what you have. im guessing yous will do around 500-600 rms. my 500 does about 250-300 and is bridged to a alpine type e in a ported box and it might overpower it a tad but will get hot doing it, i have it in my mini van.

That is the weird thing about this amp. 2 power inputs and 2 ground inputs w/ no fuse anywhere. Seems like it should put out more than 500 watts. Unless it is stable pretty low.

What exactly does 900 watts max rms mean? How can it say both max and rms at the same time? I read that as well..sounded strange to me.

well i wouldnt mind finding more info out as well. i seriousely doubt its stable below 2 ohms stereo and 4 bridged. mine gets hot when i turn the gain up even close to half way on a single 4 ohm type e. i picked up my 500 for like 25 or 30 bucks.

This amp is 900 watts @ 2 Ohm mono.

This is a old high current amp. AWESOME AMPS.
