Yea, fellow maxima owners! I've got a 1999 4th gen. non-bose maxima and was wondering the maximum dimensions for a box between the wheel wells and trunk lid bars.
BTW, my sub box looks crooked in my trunk b/c it pushes down the week wood above my spair tire...is there any quick fixes?

ya take it out. or just put a 1/2" piece of wood under there and then drill L bracets into it.

yeah take that would out... my box is 30.5 by 30.5 and 12 inches high

i had a concept 18 in there in five cubes tuned to 38 it was 14 high 24 deep 26 wide

I wanna c a pic of the 18" n a 4th gen trunk! As far as the dimensions to fit b/t the wheel wells and under the torsion bars I think its 34"w and 14 1/2"h. I gotta get my torsions bars out, I wanna get my 12" XXX reconed as a 15". BTW guys, haven't posted this on maxima.org yet, but I finally found some IDQ 8's to pair with my horns //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif! Ever have it metered? How did the upward firing sound compared to a rear firing? I know its kinda hard to compare, since u can't rear fire a 18"...

no never metered it but id say it was around 142-3 at 40Hz which is not that bad for 2400rms

i really don't think that would make that much of a difference whether a sub is firing up or two the back as long as its far back in the trunk
