what amp for my fiQ

first off let me introduce myself. my name is Eric and i have a 99 handa accord to hold me over till i find the right 69 camaro to work on.

i am geared more towards sq and did a lot of research and found fiaudio after my original plan of re went out the window due to high rate of entree. i just ordered my 12 fiQ earlier today in dual 2 configuration and honestly dont know if i should have done dual 1. im pretty lost, i really need help picking out an amp. i am looking at Hifonics TX1505D but dont know if it will match up or how to wire it if it does. excuse my ignorance put im new

Dual 2 is what you want, actually.

You just need an Amp that puts out about 1400 RMS @ 1 ohm, and youll be set.

Check out the classifieds, and maybe pick up a used Elemental Designs Nine.1 . I've seen about 4 of them floating around. IMO stay away from the hifonics unless you really want to cut back on the budget for the amps. I think there's a nine.1 or two on here for about $260 shipped.

That would be a perfect match for the Q.

if u get the Hifonics TX1505D it's rated at 1500 @ 1 ohm, but since Hifonics is generally overrated ull probably be seeing around 1,300 at 14.4v which I doubt u'd be running constanlty, so chances are the FI Q (Dual 2 ohm wires down to 1 ohm) will be seeing around 1,100-1,200 max which should be fine for it.

The titan series of Hifonics amps blow. Step up the the Zeus or even the Generation XX if you want to go with Hifonics...

as for the ed nine i think its right our of my budget but ill check out the fs section what about the TX1505D its 1500 at 1ohm suposedly. from what ive read thier stuf is pretty excellent for the price

the BX and Bxi series are arite, havn't messed with TX series before.

The TX series from Hifonics just doesnt hold a candle to the BX, BXi or Gen-XX series of amps from them...

man yall guys are fast. i guess the 1505 will work good. still going to check out the ed 9 . i think 1000 watts on one sub is plenty as i am looking or for a 65/35 sq/spl

I'd got with the eD nine.1, dont cheap out on ur setup ur gonna regret it later.

I'd get the nine.1. ED's owner is a bit shady, but from a price/power perspective, thsoe amps are nice. Those are actually underrated in most cases, since they rate them at 12v.
