what amp do i need

im not lookin to spend a **** load of money on it... maybe 150 or a lil more... would 1 10" 2 ohm sub do good enough or do i need to get it as a 4 ohm?
All depends on your purpose are you going for clarity or loudness? What kind of box you are using? What subwoofer you are using? What kind of power you can provide to the amplifier?

Just some food for thought...

If you are on a budget, this amp cannot be beat. You can find it online for like 210-220..

Get the Dual 4 ohm speaker and this will push it nicely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ok.... ive made a sealed 1cu. ft. box for an alpine SWS 1043 or 1023.. i havent decided if i want the 2 or 4 ohm mainly because i dont know the difference... im wantin it to be clear more than loud and the alpine peaks at 900 watts... but the rms is between 50-300... how powerful of an amp would it need 900watt or 300? and is a dual 2ohm better than a dual 4ohm sub?? thanks for any answers

well since ur sub is a dual 2 ohm . best use a 1 ohm stable mono amp. however i wod overpower it by 100- 150 watts, using as little gain as possible. the sub wod then have headroom and would keep a good flow of sound at high volumes, so worries of underpowering would be eliminated. budget wise u can use the Hifonics. if u can get polk audio or ppi amps then u should be good
