what amp do i need?

I bought an MTX T4512-44 and now I need to find an amp to power it.

RMS Power: 225 Watts

Max RMS Power: 225 Watts

Maximum Power: 450 Watts

Impedance: DUAL 4 OHM VOICE COIL

I know the sub can be wired a few different ways, but which way is best?

As far as the amp I have a few questions...

What brands are the best for their cost?

Is it better to overpower or underpower the sub?

wire the sub peralell, will give you a 2 ohm load...

i would give the sub 400w . so you will want to find a 600-400w amp that put's out at least 350-450 w at 2 ohm's...

it's probubly better to under power then overpower.....

as far as brands of amp's.. there are to many to list.. that are good for the price..

its best to have a little more, that way your not pushing the amp to its limit...
