hello everyone i am looking around to see what amp will work perfect with my speakers

i have 4x 10" speakers here are their specs

Frequency Response (-10dB): 100 - 2000 Hz

Sensitivity 1W/1m: 98 dB

Max. SPL / 1m (calc); full space: 122.8 dB

System Power Handling (continuous/program/peak): 300/600/1200 Watts

Nominal Impedance (Passive): 8 Ohms

Chassis Size: 10 inches

Speaker Type: Components

Weight Net: 6.5 kg ( 14.33 lbs )

if you had these how would you wire them and what amp would you use thank you

are they single 8ohm voice coils?

id want to estimate you should have about 350w per speaker to play with,

so you dont have to absolutely max out the gain.

if you wire them all down in the same channel to get a 2 ohm load, then you need a mono amp that pushes around 1400w / 1500w rms at 2 ohms - BUT you loose left and right sound = mono

if you get a class a/b amp and wire the 4 in pairs - down to a 4 ohm load for left and right,

then you need a class a/b amp that will put out 700w by 2 channels, if space is not an issue, I say get 2 smaller class a/b amps and bridge each amp, using one for left and one for right sounds - running the 4 ohm load bridged on each - each amp only needs to put out 700w or 800w rms = verry eazy and cheap to find two amps that fit that catagory, vs finding a single a/b amp that will give out 700w or better by each channel.

hmmm i see so i take 2 of the speakersrun them in a series so they are 4 ohm and then bridge them to a lets say 4 channel amp?

yeah, actually a 4 channel amp would be good.

you could use channel 1/2 to bridge the Left side pair

and use channel 3/4 to bridge to the Right side pair

and then your not stuck in mono configuration.

would just have to be a kinda big 4ch amp.

Since these are for midbass duty and if these are quality speakers and truly 98Db efficient, I wouldn't hesitate to use the PPI amp you mentioned and run a pair bridged at 4 ohms to each channel.
