what amp alternator for 02 explorer

My setup is in sig. My friends car died and I'm almost positive it was because his car couldn't start because of the stock alternator. It put the scare in me so I decided I need one. What should I get. Can I get an Ebay link as well? thanks.

IMO if you have the 130A you're not destined for alt failure.

It's not hard to take a DMM and check your voltage at idle with the system off, 1/2 vol, full vol. Then have someone hold the rpms at about 2k and check it again. Taking those numbers along with your listening habits will give you a pretty clear understanding on whether your alt is charging the batt sufficiently or not.

I'm running around 1400w with the 130A MC alt and I'm not seeing any signs of weakness. Plus those BD's are pretty efficient amps IIRC.

Well, my battery thing on my dash goes down and my headlights flash... that kinda tells me that its time for a new one.
