What Amp 2-W7's?

Hey,

I ordered 2 W7 12's and an Orion 2500D amp... but apparently they are 'OUT OF 2500D's AT THIS TIME'

So I was just wondering what Amplifier some of the 'experts' here would purchase to power 2 W7's???

i never exp. with orion amps, but from what i read on this forum, they are very good amps for the price and power.

if its that good, i guess sometimes things are well worth the wait.

HCCAfan had a big wholesale list and he was selling 2500d's if i could remember, not sure if thats still going on though?

Yah, I mean i dont mind to wait, but id like to get somethign SOON...

They are 750W RMS subs, but Im sure they can take a hell of a lot more...

But just list some amps that will do the job.... WELL.

Price is not really a problem, anything under $800US or so would be nice tho.

Yea i have 2 12 w7 s running off 2 1000/1 s , and it s nice , real deep clean and hits low as hell. As for the orion s we had a car with 2 13w7 s and 2 2500d s on them for daily.. yea it sounds like alot but we had the gains set perfect and that... was crazy.. id say around 12.8-13.8 he was prolly getting 2000 or so per sub, partially cuz they were also running at.75 ohms .. the 12w7 s are tricky to find amps for but id look for a 2 ohm stable amp that can run down to 1 ohm ... like the orions s are 1 ohm stable but run at .5 all day .. if u did get a 2500d for them ud prolly be giving them around 900 watts per sub after rise and voltage drop

$800 is a really good budget for 2000rms.

2500Ds are 2500w@1ohm im almost positive. and IIRC, all 13W7s are dual 1.5ohm VC. so you either wired each w7 to 3 ohms and totally wasted your money on the orions, or you wired each sub to .75 ohm and SPANKED THE SH!T OUT OF THEM! so which 1 was it?

You could use an MTX amp, one of their big ones, id say 7801 or bigger
