i have an 89 ford probe lx 2.2L. i need to know what kind of alternator i need to get to power my system. i have a rockford fosgate power 1500bd amp pushing 2 fosgate HE2 12's...and a kicker ZR120 for my 6x9's...the two amps are also hooked to a Lightning audio LSD10DT-03 cap w/ built in d-block. Thanks

I would say that if your lights aren't dimming don't worry.. Do a little test by turning on headlights, AC, defroster, all electrical devices, If the lights dim a lot, you could have a problem, and the alternator/battery could be harmed. If it doesn't dim that much, you don't need a bigger alternator. I recommend like 120 Amp if you do get a new 1 though. I have a stock 70 amp alternator, that I had to replace from the original. I got a cap, and the lights dim a little, I don't worry. 2 year warranty on battery and lifetime on alternator //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

well i replaced the stock one with another stock one last aug. then i got a bigger system and it killed the new one in less than a year...i need a new alternator now so i figured i might as well get a better one
