What Alpine if I have processing?

I grabbed a couple of the PPI processors, and have been bidding on some of the older Alpines, (prior 06'). But now thinking alot of what made the older ones better was indeed the processing capabilities. So for a hardcore SQ set up, what Alpine would you run with the PPI? Oh, everything is amped too.

your question is very vague. what exactly are you planning to do? what is your setup? but most likely you if you use dual ppi processors, that should be great for whatever setup you are going to do.

i'm using a 9856 with my ppi processor. i chose it because it had 3 preouts, and the new ipod interface

Just running one of the PPI's in the new install, and one in a current set up in my truck. With the processor all I will need is a deck with good SQ qualities, and easy to use basic functions. I have bid on both a 9835 and 7998, but thought maybe with processing these might be overkill.

This will be the set up in our Tahoe:

1. 220sq.ft. RammaTT & 12 yards Ensolite.

2. Alpine..?...HU

3.Germaniums front stage....Zed Duece amp

4. Rainbow coax in rear....Cheap Profile (Rarely use rear stage).

5. Oz 15.2 ME sub.....Zed Minilith amp.

6. PPI DCX-730 processor.

see i don't see the point of going for the 9835, when you got the processor, plus if you use an ipod, the kca-422i is much better then the kca-420i

like ice said...a 9835 or 7998 would be a waste if you plan on using external processing...those units have awesome processors built in

Why must it be an Alpine? Why not find a nice deadhead to go with that PPI...Nak,Denon,Eclipse 8053,etc...
