With the oscope, just keep turning the gain until there's no flat parts in the wave.

doubt it would.

First thing you'll need to do is find out where your deck clips. 0dB 1kHz tone. Then set your gains on your amps, xover, eqs, ect. there.

and how do i find that out? (distortion?) or what? if i dont have the O-scope till later, can i figure this out?

as well as, when using the DMM f the amp doesnt have a Bass Boost knob.....how do i do this? its an old rockford 1001bd. it comes with a bass knob, but i dont think that would do anything. any help is appreciated.
