I never heard the VQ, but had a 12.1 and it was very nice sounding. SQ was excellent. Some people here have had good luck with the VQ, just not sure of the names right now. Try the search function.

I liked mine. I had 2 10" vq's in sealed box. very nice sq. not made for spl though. don't they have the these with blemishes on magnet sticker for $100 cheaper each?

This thing can def slam, let me tell ya. I have a pair in my car and the vibrations you feel is rediculous. the cups in my cup holder shake when i have it bumpen. I actually had a lady get out of her car, come back to mine, and told me to turn down the volume because she couldnt hear the person on her phone. My reaction...turn it up louder. These things arent just loud, but theyre quality too. the bass is nice and clear and no distortion at all. They can take one hell of a beating, def more than 400rms. Def a great buy, you cant go wrong with infinity

Got mine brand new for 179.99 SHIPPED. Ran it off 100W then switched to my 601.1 off of 424W and ****!. 2.25^3 tuned at 28Hz. It slammed and sounded really good. Just give it ~400-450WRMS and you will be good to go.
