What a...

It WILL shift more burden onto the poor and middle classes (or else why would you, or any conservative, be in favor of it?)
Yes, why else would conservatives be in favor of something unless its screws the middle class. If a conservative likes something, that proves it is pro-rich and anti-middleclass, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Obviously Im only for something that screws the middle class. I cant possibly believe a conservative position, on anything, is actually the morally correct view, or "benefits the majority"... that would ruin your entire view of the world.

lol

Speaking of the difference between the "left" and the "right" Here's one for you.

Q: What's the difference between George "Cowboy" Bush and Barack "peace prize" Obama?

A: You're a RACIST!

What else would the point of your "flat" or national sales tax be but to shift tax burden off of the rich? If it kept the same levels of burden, there would be no point in pushing for it.

And I'm pretty busy this weak with work, school and the BF3 beta coming out, so excuse me if you don't hear from me for a little while. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif (like, until next week) And keep in mind audioholic, since you have such a good memory, I've taken breaks from debates before and always come back swinging, so spare me of the crap that I'm just scared of you or something.

Oh, and the reason I even came here in the first place is Jon Stewart had such a great bit. In talking to Ron Paul, after Ron Paul said if you're into regulations, let the states do it. At which point Jon replied "Oh, so don't let the Federal government oppress you, but oppression at the state level? Okay". Absolutely perfect reply and says exactly what I've always thought about the arbitrary bullshit of "states rights". It has nothing to do with what you actually think states should be doing, you just want to push to responsibility to do the right thing off of the Federal government in hopes that the states (or some states) simply won't do it at all.

That is a weak argument, first of all with state government a person in Georgia doesn't have to worry that 20 nut jobs in California voting on what THEY THINK Georgia laws should be like building codes. Also great seeing the ubber great Jon Leibowitz admits regulations are oppression.

Either you aren't thinking this through very well, or your complete hatred for anything politically conservative has blinded you. You cannot even conceive of a motive by a conservative that isn't based on screwing the poor, and benefiting the rich. Your naivety is so transparent, it never ceases to amaze me that even you cant see it.

Reason number one. Illegal aliens dont pay income tax. Not a single one of them. "Undocumented workers". Every one of them plays sales tax. Every single one of them. If we are going to be so loose with our borders, we can at least set up a system that still forces illegal citizens to pay their fair share. Something a liberal like yourself should be in favor of. Or, are you just in favor of allowing illegals to come work here, but dont support them paying their way?

Reason number two. Simplification. With today's system, citizens literally need a professional expert in order to do their taxes correctly. A CPA. Most people need one anyway. And with all that complexity comes many loop holes, more than one of which a liberal like yourself cries about all the time, corporate tax concessions. You buy something, you pay your taxes.

There are some problems inherent with a flat sales tax, Im not saying its perfect. But especially when compared to our (typical govt) bloated, complex and often ineffective system we use today, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks to try a flat tax.

When you come back, next week, will you still have 'not had time' to address the info I keep mentioning that you are dodging? The lists and links about govt waste, and how it adds up to a lot more than a "few billion"? Or will you continue to ignore the topic completely, in hopes I will stop mentioning it? Will it, in the next political thread, turn into another one of your "I never said that" lies?

And keep in mind audioholic, since you have such a good memory, I've taken breaks from debates before and always come back swinging, so spare me of the crap that I'm just scared of you or something.
Oh, so it was unfair of me to say you are scared of addressing the spending waste facts presented to you, and that you are scared to admit you were wrong about it only adding up to a few billion? When it is clear you are scared to, by your actions of avoiding the topic categorically? But it was fair of you to call me scared, first? And without even showing any example like I did?

More double standards from you. Just like you getting butthurt for me calling you an hypocrite, when you've called me a "jack ass". Typical. These types of intellectually dishonest tactics are how you 'swing at me'. I wouldn't call that coming back swinging, Id call that a high tolerance for humiliation.
