You are correct.
I guess I should've gone into detail more for the people who take things word for word and not looking outside of the box?
I didn't even think about competitors when I typed that out.I AM talking about people who just have systems that go boom boom, and nothing else.
150db of bass while playing a rap song does not impress me at all.I'd rather hear a properly balanced system ANY day of the week.In fact, it seems like a decent amount of people on this forum either run stock speakers or the cheapest boner brand components they can find and call it a day.Meanwhile they have so much time and money in the trunk. Now, I'm not talking about most of you, but SOME of the population here.
Overall, I think mids./highs are MORE important than the substage.Maybe that's because I am very picky in the way I want them to sound.I love that "sharp", clean, loud , live sound.I don't like "dull" "laid back", or muddy speakers.I love going to as many concerts as I can afford.I have yet to go to a concert and just hear subs and muddy, muffled mids./highs.Which is what the majority of car stereo set-ups sound like these days, that I have heard.
Now, 150db of bass WITH mids/highs that can keep up, I WILL give you and your system the respect it deserves, for putting an equal amount of effort into each part. Ok, I'm done typing now.Hopefully I didn't word things too poorly.
