only person on this post with some sense was the guy who said the Diamond audio. but still the w6's are decent but overpriced like all JL i say one of the best SQ along with SPL woofer out there is the IDMAX sub. one of the best on the market period.

idmax does both and is dynamic and light lol hard to imagine it but i get to hear a set this weekend too bad i gotta drive 125 miles to hear them......

Perfects are nice, but ive been hearing of alot of people who are blowin there type-r's, although the RMS is ideal, trying to make the type-r eat too much burns the voice coil quickly from what ive seen. that is from what IVE seen.

I would think the IDMAX has great SQ aside to its excellent SPL. Although its a sub meant for SQ

eric and matt said it was a bet to see how much excursion they could get out of a woofer.. i ran their stuff before and loved it..eric has tuned my car and i know what kind of sound they gear for hearing earl wills car the last year he comp'ed.. and i used to just run image stuff eric tought me alot of tricks in a little time..thats why if he tells me its more and better than my old idw's i believe it..because he never steered me wrong

i currently own 2 alpine type R's and they sound great i have them hooked up to a jbl 1200.1 and they take the extra 300 watts fine

I've never been a big fan of Alpine Type R's...I'd choose Diamond, IDMAX, JL, or Infinity's over alpine any day of the week
