Went golfing yesterday

Par 72. I shot an 83. Best score in quite some time. Finally got my swing back. I lost one ball the entire day, compared to before when I was losing over 1 dozen per round. Best shot was where I hit my drive high up in the air and it started slicing over near this big oak tree. I was probably 10-15 yards from the oak tree and where the green was positioned, I would have had to hit the ball straight over the oak and over a lake from ~180 yds away. Took out the 7-iron and ripped a shot over the oak and landed on the green about 25 ft. from the pin. I also lost my 5-wood yesterday. Went to tee off with the 5-wood and the club head flew off. The funny thing is the ball still went over 200 yds, and outdrove my friend who was using a driver to tee off.

I usually shoot in the 90's when I'm hitting the ball decent, but what helped me get into the 80's was putting. I've been putting a lot better recently. Not that I've been sinking longer putts or anything, it's just I've been avoiding 3 putts by getting my first putt within 3-4 ft of the cup. I think I had (2) 3 putts yesterday. One of my 3 putts came where I landed on the green on a par 3, it was a downhill putt and I judged the speed poorly and left it way short. The other one came on a green that was partially burnt in one area and I think it sped my putt up and it went a ways past the hole.

83 is a good round. I usually shoot mid-high 80's, best round ever was a 79 (man i was on that day).

Funny story, 3 weeks ago played a golf course called Noble Hawk, its a British open style course (links). I managed to record my worst round of golf ever 103... 48 on the front 55 on the back... i lost a pitching wedge, 3 iron, and a putter, 3 sleeves of Nike Mojo balls, and havent played since then.

it was depressing to say the least

I have a friend that manages to lose (snap a club over his knee) about once a month. In fact, last week he hit a shitty shot with his sandwedge and was pissed off and hit the cart with the club and it snapped the head off the shaft. He went and bought a walmart sandwedge yesterday and played pretty good with it. On a side note....I got my first ever and only eagle about a year ago, was playing with a Nike Mojo.

good job 83 totally pwns anything I can manage

I'm more of a 100-110 kind of guy, I don't get out much.

Goin to play a round at portage lake gc in about an hour, will be my second time out this season //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

summer classes take too much time

Ah didn't do so well today. 46 on the front 9, 47 on the back. = 93. I hit very few good shots with my driver (really my 2-wood, because I can't hit with my driver). The course I played today there is little room for error, the fairways are small, as opposed to the course yesterday which is more open. Ended the day with nice play on the 18th. 501 yd par 5. Hit a nice drive around 275, then hit a 5-iron (200+ yds) just to the left of the green. Landed about 10 yds from the pin, but I screwed up the chip shot and ran it about 15 ft past the cup, two putted for par.

Congrats...If I ever go to your area I'll hit you up and we can play a few rounds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Sounds good. Just don't beat me to badly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i went golfing last sunday, almost got into a fight with two old men, they were getting of the green and driving to the next tee when i hit a 7 iron and sliced the hell out of it and hit their cart while driving, i said fore and said i was sorry but i guess they didn't like it, but i really couldn't do much except say sorry and he just kept on cussing at me.....

i am usually in the mid 80's. it pisses me off that my dad can play once a year and shoot a 76 or a 78 with no problem. i need to work on my driver a bit. half the time i dont even use it. much straighter with my 3 iron off the tee. i think i am going to get a driving iron before my trip to hawaii this winter.
