Went golfing yesterday

Haha I thought I would be the only golfer on this forum. I usually shoot in the mid- low 80s and my best so far has been 77 but ive only been playin for a year or so now. I haven't been on the course in a while though.

i went golfing last sunday, almost got into a fight with two old men, they were getting of the green and driving to the next tee when i hit a 7 iron and sliced the hell out of it and hit their cart while driving, i said fore and said i was sorry but i guess they didn't like it, but i really couldn't do much except say sorry and he just kept on cussing at me.....
When people play slow or screw around looking for balls, I purposely hit shots at them or over there head.

wet to a company outing this weekend. wow did we get trashed... damage fees were around the 1k range. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

removing govenors off carts and jumping them is fun, but not when you run over trees.

i hope they let us back next year!

im shoot in the low to mid 80s for a round..... alright i guess... would be alot better if i could do everything good at once...! it seems like when im slamming my drives and im putting good, my approach shots **** witch will add 2-3 strokes easy if i mess up bad enough.... but when i shoot a good middle game i cant drive or putt..... this is the way i live.... if i could play my good in all parts all the time i would prolly be a par golfer.... but that would be convinient... so it cant happen

I played golf on monday actually. But since it was a scramble format I really couldn't gauge how well I was playing fairly accurately. As far as I can tell I was playing pretty good.

Over the past 2 years i've gotten MUCH more consistent with my swing and my main problem of KEEPING MY D*MN HEAD DOWN. If I would completely stop picking my head up I think i could be shooting in the low 80's every time.

On a side note, one of the guys I caddie for regularly gave me his "old" wedges, 52* and 56* Cleveland CG10 wedges. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I actually did need them too since I broke my crappy gap wedge in a sand trap, and broke my 56* Cleveland tour action 900 after I pulled a spectular 8 on a 165 yard par 3.

EDIT: 7300 posts FTW

My games been on lately except for my approach shots, which used to be the best part of my game.
With approach shots, I usually do one of two things

1. Perfect direction and end up 5-10 yards short

2. Perfect distance and end up 5-10 yards to the left/right of the green.

I've been pulling my approach shots left. Then when I make an adjustment and try to aim more right to accommodate pulling the ball 10 yds to the left, I hit a straight shot. Usually still land on the green, but just way away from the pin. The problem is getting closer so I eliminate 3 putts.

You sound like me. But if I go down a club to compensate for the distance, I smack the chit out of it. And land 10 yards past the green. So i usually just settle for short //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I played yesterday for the first time this year. Shot a whopping 90 on a par 72 course . Just can't hit it as far anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think the average for all amateurs is around 100, so I wouldn't be too unhappy with a 90 and not paying all that often.

I am so addicted to golf it is unreal. I average in the low 80's (78-82 on my home course) with a best round of 75.
