Went from sealed tp ported. WOW! *pics*

After reading and learning from alot of people on this site...

I built a ported box designed in WinISD and took out my JL Audio W1v2's out of the sealed box they came in and installed them in the ported box. It is 4ft^3@37 Hz. Leaned a little towards SPL. These subs are "only" 150wrms each.

I am going to carpet it, just want to make sure everything cool first.

Might tune it a little lower. Haven't glued it up yet. It is easy to take one of the sides off and lengthen the port a little.

I think sealed has a better sound. Just in this application it improved the overall sound of the system.

I have RE xxx6.5s up front with 140 wrms going to them. The subs have 150 wrms. The subs being in the trunk just didn't have the "punch" to keep up with the xxx's. So I took out the rear 6x9s and made that box for the subs and the extra SPL that the ported box makes really ties everything together now.

Those RE xxx6.5 are awesome by the way.
