Well, what 15 Inch subs to go with?

Getting a AQ2200D here shortly.

Kinda split up between 15 Inch FI Q's, BL's, HDC315's, SSA Icon, Xcons.

Anyone have experience with SSA?

I may want to get a second AQ2200D down the line. If thats the case, which is better, Xcons, HDC3's or BTLs?

well if you run the amp at 1 ohm then get bl. btl. you can send 1000 to each sub

what are you looking for sound wise? SPL, SQ, mix? i say do the Xcons or Icons. something different and they sound superb.

HDC's get my vote, especially if you plan to add another 2200 eventually...

Do you want straight SPL or "SQ-L"?

If you want SPL, go BLs or HDCs.

SQ, go with the icon or xcon. I cant wait to get my 2 18" xcons hooked up.

Well, I'm kinda looking for SQL. Like I had two W6v2's before. I'm looking to get way louder now though. But not sounding like complete *** coming from the w6v2's. I'm only listening to rock/rap though. So its not like they need to faithfully reproduce some insanely high quality classical composition. Just get low and have punch.

If you are considering BTL's, BL's, HDC3's, take the Q's, Icon's and Xcon's out of the conversation as they are meant for different purposes.

 

If you are planning for a pair of 2000+ watt amps, just get the BTL's.

I wish I knew exactly how btls sound compared to my previous setup. Like I know I want to be able to turn it up and be outrageously loud and get some flex - but I also want to be able to listen to it at decent levels and have it sound good.
