Like I said man, even though the coils look good, you could have popped the winding somewhere, even in one of the inner layers.

I did that twice on my DD's.

It is a bit strange that the 3 on that side blew though. How did you have them wired?

Well that rules out a weird wiring issue.

Perhaps it's an enclosure loading issue.

Sounds like the leads broke inside. are they in the spider?

we had a 1508 die like that, built the box to load them better and have not had that problem again.
