Welding Wire for Big 3??

1/0 is optimal. i would do atleast 4 gauge. 8 gauge is a no...

size of AWG period, flexibility is just a option for have to get to(outta way)places. i use flex 1/0awg going to the amp(s) and stiff wire 2/0awg for the big 3. i suggest the larger wire as it will help current flow and leave room for upgrade(1/0AWG) WELDING leads works great

I wouldent........you need a better insulated wire,heat is a factor in and around the engine

Car battery wire is best IMO ..........

i say if this wire can carry enough current to melt steel together, it'll do fine for my Big 3. i'm using 0/1 welding cable w/ no problems. actually all my power wires are welding cable since my dad can hook me up. very flexible too, and i dont think heat is a problem
