Im going to be upgrading the wiring to my amps with 0 awg and wanted to know if welding cable will do the job as long as its 70mm from what people have been telling me is equivalent to 0awg.

can I have some advise on this please, is it easy to work with, is it worth it, I know I can get it a bit cheaper

lotsa people swear by it.

plus you don't have to pay for that fancy insulation everyone pays for on "power wire"

Ok, so what one do I ask for at the welding shop, is 70mm correct to ask for

It will work fine, and you can put wire loom over it if you dont like the way it looks. ask for 1/0. 2/o will be even better if theres not a big price difference.

not sure what ur asking since u already want to use 0awg. just say 1/0 which is pronounce one aught.

will do, some say its hard to work with and is not flexible, im still gonner give it ago, will get some tomorow and see how it is, I will be using it for the BIG 3 and battery to amp connections.

What terminals do I need with this (ring terminals). I want to ground on some bare metal on the car body ?

1/0 ring lugs with a hole big enough for whatever size bolts you are going to attach it with.

Sweet. What do you use to crimp the lug to the cable with, how bout a hammer ?

I use 3/0 welding cable in my truck, Just make sure it is fine stranded wire

To crimp lug on my wire I used a Big Craftsmen philips head screwdriver and

a hammer It works fine...Unless you can solder it, But I dont ever have any luck

with that lol

Sweet. What do you use to crimp the lug to the cable with, how bout a hammer ?

funny you ask this....a while back I bought a block that you clamp in a vice. cost me ~$10 and all you had to do was insert the lug, then cable into lug, close the top and whack it with a hammer.

now I can't find them. mostly what I find are hand crimpers and I have seen none of them do as good a job:crap:

wire is just as flexible as "power" wire. and please crimp with a bench vise, not a hammer.
