Weak ground

could a weak ground affect the output of your amp because when i turn my system up, the amp doesn't get any louder when it passes like 30(vol) and i adjusted the gain. i can't figure if its the weak ground or if its the sub box.

Yes, as you turn the volume up the current draw increases. An amp cannot make power unless it gets power.
