Same here, research goes a long way, and honestly luck has a little to do with it.
Never hurts to hit up a mod for IP checks on sellers as well. The Savage hooked me up on that Slikk guy that was sellin sundown 3k's who was actually Mr. Coogi under a different name. That one could have ended bad.

its also a shame that the admin isnt around more often and could ip ban and try and lessen the problem. If he doesnt care about his own website how are we supposed to help other then just be wary and on the lookout?

Theres not much you can do, the paypal verified idea works... but it doesnt always work in your favor.

If your not smart enough to see a scam, or to not check and re-check the opposing side... then you deserve to get scammed.

Mods are already doin enough without having to be an escrow service for free

Plus that doubles up on paypal fees that way

Do you research and realize that there is a risk to buying on an online forum...thats part of the price you pay for good deals

Not going to happen. The mods don't want to get involved in that, and I don't blame them. I am sure Goob doesn't want the mods to do that either.

personally i always give me cell and home #'s and maintain contact as much as possible.

not everyone will do that but it has worked well for me and i think that the people who have bought from me have been happy with me.

The only other thing that can help is common sense.

A little bit of research can help a lot. I saved myself from 2 scams just doing research.

People frantically buy stuff because of the low price.
