List ways that we can possibly stop or slow this process of people being scammed on here. people are loosing way to much money being scammed that they worked or saved hard for to get. I've also been scammed before.

i agree. we should set up some kind of rules stating specifics about both people involved that way its impossible for them not to get contacted and it might help people get their ish

We get this type of thread on a regular basis. Be a smart buyer and your chances of getting scammed drop dramatically. Nothing is going to change your need to do research before the sale. Scams will always happen but being smart will help your chances.

Always pay via credit card, if your using paypal use a CC, not a previous balance or your checking account.

I think the real problem here is bad communication and follow through on sales....those people should be treated the same as scammers and not allowed to make future sales in the classifieds.

It is up to the buyer/seller to satisfy themselves about the trustworthiness of each other. That is the way it will stay.

yeah its getting out of control lately. I guess the only thing to do is just be carefull who you deal with, Check their past post and references to get an idea of what type of seller or buyers they are. I guess alot of guys who get scammed rush in to thing by sending payment quick in hope they get the item before somebody else.

I agree they should be treated the same/similar. If people would research, that would eliminate repeat offenders. Beyond that, people have to use their judgment and error on the side of caution.

Same here, research goes a long way, and honestly luck has a little to do with it.

Never hurts to hit up a mod for IP checks on sellers as well. The Savage hooked me up on that Slikk guy that was sellin sundown 3k's who was actually Mr. Coogi under a different name. That one could have ended bad.
