You do not NEED to buy healthcare.

$700 yearly fee for those who opt out of health care.

I think thats a lot more reasonable than simply taking it out of your paycheck. If you check how much you pay into social security and other taxes, its a lot more than 700. Or at least mine is, and I work at a grocery store.

I might be wrong but are they not going to take "social security and other taxes" any longer? If not cool but if they are then your just adding a bill to people that might not be able to afford $700 year in something they "might" need.

I have not been to the doctor in 15 years so had I paid $10,500 in insurance I might be pissed because I don't use it or have not needed it. I see the good and bad in it though..

The insurance companies are going to lose a lot of money with this bill.

What do you think they are doing about it.

If it were my company, and I had trillions of dollars, I'd buy lawyers to contest the new bill, I'd pay figureheads to contest the bill, I'd pay broadcasters to contest the bill, I'd do anything to get rid of it. I mean, I'd be losing a lot of money if I didn't.

The bill states there are exemptions of the fees for families and individuals with low incomes.

How are they going to lose money? The government is forcing you to buy insurance from those same insurance companies. Its kind of funny how the democrats act like they are the health care experts when many more republican congressmen (1 out of 10) were or are doctors. Kind of like the democrats owning civil rights when more republicans in office supported it than democrats ...

Would you rather pay $10k in insurance premiums and not need it or not have insurance and then get $100k in medical bills?

And if you can't afford Health care insurance you can apply for it via medicaid.
