We are F*UCKED!!!!!!!

It is your generation that will reap it's benefits as well.

Even evidence can not persuade you.

You are truely misinformed, and blinded by truth.

In your case, Ignorance is bliss.

what benifits will we reap? the total loss of social security due to bush wanting to privatize it and spend all the funds on this war?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Do you understand anything about social security?

then spare us are time and kill yourself. we don't need sick ****ing idiots who justify a war by saying we need to kill people to keep the population down
He was being sarcastic.

And if you actually read the Press Conference, Powell says that at that time Hussein had not yet developed a significant capability with respect to WMD's. He talks about how keeping Hussein in check is an ongoing process, so his statement must be taken with a grain of salt.

No one's denying that, but all that information was found after the war, and is still inconclusive seeing as the inspection was limited in it's scope. It took the UN quite awhile to find SCUD missiles in the early 90's because they were buried in the desert, but they turned up eventually. But for arguments sake, you can't just go "whoops, my bad guys" and stop the war at the snap of a finger. We destroyed Iraq and have a responsibility to rebuild it.

Pretty much the same information as the USA Today link, only with a huge reformist spin put on it.

I've addressed most of this stuff in previous threads. At that time, it was one month after the inspections process. As the gulf war taught us, you can't expect to find everything in existence in a month no matter how much you exhaust your resources, especially if the weapons were moved to other countries.

As can I, and last I checked, I'm still a few up on you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The reality is that the Bush Administration did accept the findings of Hans Blix in his report to the UN Security Council. Many other Americans, did not.

Hans Blix was later found not to be the most credible person to fill the role of Chief UN Weapons Inspector for Iraq.

This holds even more true for a weapons site recently found in Iraq near Al-Qaqaa.

I just want ONE Republican in here to tell me how this war in Iraq is justified. I don't care who the president is- they are both assclowns IMO.

Hrmm, Justified.

A tyranical dictator with a long history of abusing, torturing, and executing, Iraqi Citizens, is no longer in power.

No more mass executions for Iraqi People.

No more torture chambers.

No more Chemical Abuse of Iraqi People.

No more suppression of Iraqi People.

Iraqi Citizens are now free. They will be voting, yes, you heard that right, voting for their new leaders in January of next year.

Have Iraqi Citizens ever had freedom? Elected their own leaders without fear?

Finally, How many UN Resolutions are really necessary before we act?

The state department lists 17 United Nations Security Council Resolutions that Saddam Hussein was in violation of.

http://www.state.gov/p/nea/rls/01fs/14906.htm

The White House lists 16 United Nations Security Council Resolutions that Saddam Hussein was in violation of.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/iraq/decade/sect2.html

These resolutions were set in place to ensure that Saddam Hussein would not pose a threat to the world.

As he was found in violation of all of the above resolutions, he was a threat.

Considering he had well over 10 years to comply with these resolutions, he had more than ample time to do so, or manipulate things futher.

If this one doesn't cook your cookie, then it's very obvious that you also pick and choose despite actual fact.

In your world, Saddam Hussein would still be in power, Millions of Iraqi Citizens would still be killed and tortured by their own ruthless dictator. There would be no freedom for the people of Iraq, and they certainly would not be able to elect their own leaders without fear. Iraq would continue to persue and obtain Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Weapons, and in the hands of it's Dictator, Saddam Hussein; a delusional person bent on conquering other countries to expand his control (as proven in the Gulf War), and would eventually turn them on the United States, Great Brittain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and any other nation, as they see fit.

just because the majority thinks one thing doesnt mean its right. prime example: the majority of you republicans think saddam was behind 9/11.

Apparently it is right.

Bush and Cheney are in for 4 more years.

If you can't grasp that, it's not my problem. Wallow in your ignorance and enjoy.

Want to argue that one more?

And to correct you, the majority of Republicans believe that there is a link between Saddam Hussein and OBL, not that Saddam is directly responsible for 9-11.

wow. your foot must taste good cause you seem to like sticking it in your mouth.

that was a blatantly ingorant statement. No republicans believe that Saddam was behind the 9-11 attack. The reason so many of us believed that he needed to be ousted is because of his ongoing support of terrorists and his refusal to abide by the regulations set by the UN.

He kept on breaking the set rules, and was never punished for it. he is now.

Funny you speak of Violations. George Bush has violated his fair share of Treaties and Acts during his term...lets not forget that.

So Saddam killed his own people....but how many Iraqi civilians have we killed to 'liberate' them?

Indeed. And it is completely amazing how the obvious escapes so many.

Either way, I'm about done with this thread. It's the same old liberal nonsense, and it's growing boring.
