Ways you have found to get xtra bass...

For speakers, increasing the level of you HPF front and rear. For sub, increasing LPF. Problem with all of that is you run the risk of your bass draging or sounding a little muddy. All this can be done from your head unit if you have those settings to play with.

-fold down rear seats if you have a trunk car

-sound deadner

-positioning your subs helps too. im sure its vehicle specific. most cases, have them face the rear and 6" away from trunk.

-stronger electrical system?

smoking a fat bag of crack does the job for me
but you're only "thinking" you got extra bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Um, no.

You should have them set optimally upon installation. There should be no need to adjust them in order to "get more bass".

Also, your filters are not going to give you "extra bass" unless you have them completely turned off, and then switch them on.

Also, a high pass filter on your speakers has nothing to do with adding bass. In fact, it prevents bass from reaching the speaker.

You say increasing the LPF for the sub will give you gains. Yeah, I suppose if you like your subs to play up to 125hz or so you would catch a few more frequencies...not going to make it "louder" though.

Lean passenger seat all the way up.

glove box down

sun visor at angle to seat

croud the steering wheel

fill car up with tool bags

take seats out of back of vehicle

Oh...did you mean louder to the ear for daily driving or on the meter?

Going from 60-80 to over 120 makes it sound a little louder to me, but it also makes it sound more directional....which I don't particularly care for.

raising your lpf will actually decrease the output of your lows, due to impedance rise

and if setting your lpf that high gives you gains A) your box is either way too small, or is tuned incredibly high and B) your mids probably **** too, cause they should be OWNING 100+ at LEAST a good component setup can get jiggy down to 80, or even 60hz
