How do you adjust the gain on the wavetech loc and then the gains on my amp? Do you just use the loc? Confused on this part any help would be appreciated.

You should set the head unit first, then the LOC then the amp. It's not specific to any LOC, it's a process followed regardless. Make sure the signal coming from the HU is clean, by backing it off when you reach a distorted output.
