im going there with my buddy from school and meeting some girls that go to another school....ive only been there in like 8th grade to see all the monuments and whatnot....

im just looking for some good places to hit up, go to lunch, do whatever, probably shopping for the girls...

also where to stay away from...

Be sure and go to as many historical sights as you can. A cool out door place to take the women to would be the 77th Meridian landmark. Beautiful garden and stair water fall.

Not to thread jack.

I went their 2 years ago and it was the most amazing experience of my life thus far. I stayed at Fort Myers right across the street (literally 30 yds. away) from Arlington Cemetery with a 2 Star General who is VERY well known and I won't mention his name. He was involved HEAVILY with running Abu Graib and Guantanamo Bay. I'm not military, but I met A LOT of major players at the top of our military.

Sorry for the slight jack move, but you'll love it!!!

yeah ive been there and seen all that stuff...i was wondering more along the lines of cool stuff non monument related...ill check out that garden though im almost positive ive been there.

There's just so much going on in DC and that area of VA in general...personally, I love the Irish pubs, The Dubliner near the Capitol is always a favorite food/drink spot for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you are into clubbing and restaurants, stay around the MCI center. There are plenty of clubs and great restaurants to go to there. There is also the Spy Museum. If you like to bar hop, go to Georgetown. Its basically a strip with lots of shops, a small mall, and lots of bars and restaurants that stay open pretty late on the weekends. Stay away from Southeast, and Anacostia!!
