Wanting to upgrade sub...

I currently have a RE HC 15" sub in a 3.5 cuft ported box tuned to 35hz powered off an eD nine.1. I want to upgrade to another sub. I want it to have better sound quality, more spl and not have the higher end drop off that the HC has. Don't get me wrong I love this sub and it hits deep and hard and sounds good to my ears but I have some cash and I want to upgrade. This is the only sub I have had installed in my car and I want to try out some other stuff. I mostly listen to hip hop / rap. Open to all suggestions but I would either want another single 15" setup or maybe two 12"s off the amp I already have.

Sx will have higher frequiency output not get as low and doubt have as good of sound quialty as the hc. And no he should not get a xxx he said he doesn't want a high drop off you idiot better sq but I highly doubt it will get louder also. I say if you want louder and better sq and no drop off I'm leaning towards a avalance might not get louder but defiently will fill in all the other requirments. I would also say the kicker cvx also but no one has tested them yet so can't really say anything about those maybe 2 10" or 2 12" type-r should also fill all those requirements and there prob around 250 shipped for 2.

Well since he mentioned wanting to maintain higher freq bass I'll throw out the Arsenal since one of their selling points seems to be a 5db+ advantage @80hz vs the Ava....of course I don't think anyone has actually received/installed one yet...

But if you listen to mainly hip hop and rap, I don't know why higher bass would matter anyway....??

Single Mag 15 FTW. Sell the HC on the classifieds. I bet that sub fetches a high price.
