You could buy one then resale it for a little less after usage it would be sorta like renting ....keep it mint with box and all for highest resale...but hopefully you'll find one to rent for less...check with local audio specialty shops as well...

you can buy cheap oscopes now that do everything the dd-1 does plus more.. they're about $65 so a third the cost of the dd-1

you can buy one used for around 100 then sell t on ebay for 120 i did that a few times already
